EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION WITH APPRENTICES –
Clear Expectations, Constructive Feedback and Confident Conversations

Good workplace training depends not only on professional knowledge and suitable methods. It also depends on clear, respectful and reliable communication.

How Does the Company Benefit?

Workplace trainers communicate expectations more clearly and address problems earlier.
They become more confident in giving feedback, dealing with difficult situations and supporting apprentices without avoiding necessary conversations.

This reduces misunderstandings, improves cooperation and helps create a more reliable learning environment.

What Makes This Workshop Different

The workshop focuses on realistic communication situations from everyday vocational training.

Participants do not only discuss communication models. They work with typical cases, practise wording and reflect on their own reactions in challenging situations.

The aim is not to provide rigid scripts, but to help participants develop a clear, respectful and authentic communication style.

What Participants Take Away

Participants gain practical wording, useful structures and greater confidence for everyday conversations with apprentices.

They become better able to distinguish between situations that require explanation, feedback, support, clear boundaries or a more formal conversation.

They also reflect on how their own communication style influences motivation, trust and cooperation.

International Perspective

Communication expectations can differ between countries, generations, organisations and cultural contexts.

Directness, hierarchy, feedback, criticism and conflict may be understood in very different ways.

The workshop can therefore be adapted to the local workplace culture and vocational education system. For international groups, it can also explore communication expectations in German companies and support cooperation across cultural boundaries.
