THE DIGITAL WORKPLACE –
Using AI and Digital Media Safely and Responsibly
Digital media, smartphones and artificial intelligence are now part of everyday working and learning. They create new opportunities, but they also require sound judgement, responsibility and an awareness of risks.
In this workshop, apprentices explore how to use AI and digital media effectively and responsibly, assess information critically and recognise common digital risks.
The focus is not only on technology. It is also on concentration, data protection, media literacy and taking responsibility for one’s own decisions and results.

How Does the Company Benefit?
Apprentices learn to use digital media and artificial intelligence more consciously and responsibly.
They recognise opportunities for learning and work while also developing a better understanding of distraction, data protection, misinformation and problematic smartphone use.
This strengthens digital judgement, reduces avoidable risks and supports the responsible use of company information and digital tools.
What Makes This Workshop Different
Digital competence has been part of my work for many years, and the workshop has continuously evolved alongside new technological developments.
It is therefore not a hastily assembled AI workshop, but a well-established approach that connects smartphone use, media literacy, digital security and artificial intelligence.
Opportunities and risks are neither exaggerated nor dismissed. Apprentices receive a balanced foundation that enables them to form their own views and use digital tools responsibly.
What Apprentices Appreciate About This Workshop
Participants can reflect honestly on their own digital habits without being told that smartphones or new technologies are inherently harmful.
At the same time, even apprentices who have previously been hesitant about AI discover practical ways in which digital tools can support them in learning and everyday work.
The workshop often leads to very concrete changes. Some participants have even deleted apps such as TikTok during the session after reassessing their own usage habits.
International Perspective
Digital transformation and artificial intelligence affect vocational education and working life across national borders.
The workshop can be adapted to the digital environment, legal framework, workplace culture and level of experience of the respective organisation or country.
For international groups, it can also address differences in data protection, digital communication and the use of AI in cooperation with German companies.
