WORKSHOPS FOR APPRENTICES –
Ready for the Future!
Vocational training is about much more than acquiring professional knowledge. Apprentices also need to communicate confidently, organise themselves, deal with challenges and take increasing responsibility for their own development.
My workshops address typical situations from everyday vocational training and combine them with current insights from psychology, learning science, behavioural research and health science.
The focus is not on abstract theory, but on understandable connections, practical tools and plenty of opportunities to try things out.
The content is regularly reviewed and developed further. Outdated simplifications and rigid personality models are deliberately avoided. The central question is always:
What genuinely helps apprentices learn, grow and succeed today?
What Makes These Workshops Different
- An atmosphere in which apprentices enjoy participating
Participants feel taken seriously, contribute their ideas, exchange experiences and gain the confidence to try out new approaches. - Topics that reflect today’s world
Alongside established vocational training topics, the workshops address new developments and questions that are currently shaping the lives of young people and organisations. - Current insights made accessible
Ideas and findings from international experts and researchers are translated into practical and understandable content for apprentices. - Enjoyment, memorable insights and practical value
The workshops can be engaging and enjoyable. Most importantly, participants take away concrete ideas, tools and new perspectives that can be applied in everyday life. - Support throughout different stages of vocational training
Many organisations book more than one workshop and develop a programme covering several years of vocational training. This allows topics to build on one another as apprentices become more confident, independent and responsible.
Depending on the stage of vocational training, the target group and the organisation’s current priorities, different topics may be particularly relevant.
For easier orientation, the workshops are grouped into four areas.
1. Starting Out and Professional Behaviour
Orientation for the beginning of vocational training and greater confidence in typical workplace situations.
A practical introduction to working life, company expectations, professional communication and personal responsibility.
Greater confidence in greetings, introductions, small talk, professional behaviour and typical workplace situations.
Media literacy, artificial intelligence, data protection, digital security and responsible smartphone use.
2. Confidence and Communication
Developing a confident presence, communicating clearly and handling different conversation and presentation situations.
Building self-confidence and using body language, voice and language more consciously.
Clear, polite and confident communication by phone, email and in online meetings.
Listening, asking questions, giving feedback and handling criticism, misunderstandings and challenging conversations.
Developing clear structures, compelling stories and a confident presentation style.
3. Learning, Organisation and Self-Management
Planning tasks, learning phases and examinations more independently and using modern learning and working methods effectively.
Setting priorities, planning realistically, overcoming procrastination and dealing more effectively with distractions.
Evidence-based learning strategies, concentration, memory, effective learning conditions and the responsible use of AI.
Understanding decision-making, recognising thinking errors and developing greater judgement and personal responsibility.
Structuring exam preparation, using effective learning methods and dealing more constructively with pressure and nervousness.
4. Mindset, Resilience and Wellbeing
Recognising personal options for action, dealing with pressure and taking responsibility for personal development and wellbeing.
Developing a constructive mindset, taking responsibility and learning from mistakes, feedback and setbacks.
Strengthening resilience, using support and remaining capable of acting during difficult phases.
Understanding stress, recognising personal needs and developing healthy routines for work and everyday life.
