ALWAYS ON TOP OF THINGS –
Organisation and Self-Management

Tasks, deadlines, vocational school, learning phases and exam preparation can quickly become overwhelming. Good self-management does not mean following a perfect schedule. It means finding methods that fit your own everyday life and help you stay focused, organised and able to act.

In this workshop, apprentices explore practical tools for structuring their days and weeks, setting priorities and approaching larger tasks independently.

They learn how to deal more consciously with distractions, procrastination, time pressure and digital demands – and how to develop realistic strategies for their own work and learning routines.

How Does the Company Benefit?

Apprentices learn to organise tasks, learning phases and deadlines more independently.

They become better at setting priorities, planning realistically and dealing constructively with interruptions and time pressure.

This strengthens reliability, personal responsibility and the ability to manage increasingly complex tasks in everyday working life.

What Makes This Workshop Different

The workshop does not promote one perfect time-management system.

Participants become familiar with a range of methods and tools and explore which approaches suit their own tasks, working style and everyday circumstances.

Traditional planning techniques are combined with modern digital tools, insights into concentration and procrastination and practical approaches from concepts such as Kaizen, Hansei and Ikigai.

What Apprentices Appreciate About This Workshop

Participants can try out different methods directly and apply them to their own everyday lives.

Many only realise later how useful the content can be – for example, when they have to plan their own exam preparation or keep track of several tasks at the same time.
The workshop provides practical tools without expecting everyone to organise themselves in exactly the same way.

International Perspective

Expectations regarding independence, punctuality, planning and personal responsibility can differ between countries, organisations and educational systems.

The workshop can therefore be adapted to the working culture, training structure and digital environment of the participants.

For international groups, it can also explore common expectations in German companies and support young people preparing to work, train or cooperate in a German professional environment.
