MAKE UP YOUR MIND -
How Our Thinking, Behaviour and Decisions Are Influenced
Decisions are part of everyday life. Some are made quickly and almost automatically, while others are postponed for a long time.
Too many options, fear of making the wrong choice, time pressure, other people’s expectations or uncertainty about the consequences can make decisions unnecessarily difficult.
In this workshop, apprentices explore how decisions are made and which internal and external factors influence them. They learn to recognise common thinking errors, question automatic reactions and make more conscious choices in everyday work and life.
The aim is not to guarantee perfect decisions, but to strengthen judgement, personal responsibility and confidence when dealing with uncertainty.

How Does the Company Benefit?
Apprentices learn to assess situations more carefully and make decisions with greater awareness.
They become better at questioning assumptions, evaluating information and considering the consequences of their actions.
This strengthens personal responsibility, judgement and the ability to act independently in everyday working life.
What Makes This Workshop Different
The workshop connects insights from psychology and behavioural research with practical decisions from vocational training and everyday life.
Participants do not receive rigid formulas for supposedly perfect choices. Instead, they explore how their own thinking can be influenced and learn practical ways to gain clarity in uncertain situations.
Realistic examples, experiments and exercises make decision-making processes visible and easier to understand.
What Apprentices Appreciate About This Workshop
Apprentices recognise many familiar situations and discover why some decisions feel more difficult than others.
They can reflect on their own behaviour without being judged and try out simple methods that help them structure choices more clearly.
The workshop also creates memorable moments when participants experience directly how easily perception, judgement and behaviour can be influenced.
International Perspective
Decision-making is influenced not only by individual experience but also by cultural values, social expectations and organisational structures.
Attitudes towards hierarchy, risk, personal responsibility and uncertainty may differ between countries and workplaces.
The workshop can therefore be adapted to the cultural and organisational context of the participants and can support young people working or learning in international environments.
